OMFG. I had no idea who she was until last week when I read about Facebook and some other social media platforms banning troublemakers.
Wow is she obnoxious. I don’t think she misses the point of why people, and social media platforms, too, think she’s ‘dangerous’. Naw. She ‘owns’ it. She lathers it up with that magnificent love-slide she’s got. The way she continually caresses her own emotions and the amount of bullshit she conflates; it’s mind-numbing. I just watched most of a video she just made which had her pretty much barging into Facebook HQ making ridiculous demands and spouting off about this and that and she didn’t make any sense. Her incessant blah blah blah seemed to come from a place of anger – I get it, Laura, we all get angry and we need to get that out of us. You were completely unproductive, though. Some people would say out of control, but I wouldn’t. Just sayin’.
Immediately you laid into the receptionist and I gotta tell you, that woman couldn’t give a rat’s ass about who you are or why you are there. She’s the receptionist and you laid your story out to her and demanded satisfaction. Well, she was the wrong person to tell any of that to. It’s not her policy that banned you, and all you were was obnoxious to her. You said things like “tough” to her when she said recording wasn’t allowed without prior approval. Just, wow. I mean, you call yourself a journalist. Journalists know this kind of thing and take it seriously. You are just an angry young person with an unwavering mouth. You said that Facebook, et al, banned you because you are a conservative.
No, love – they banned you because you are incendiary and obnoxious and they have the government and a shit-ton of of other entities breathing down their necks constantly to get rid of dangerous people like you because you incite young and/or ignorant people; disenfranchised people, lonely people…. In any society that is dangerous. You seemed to also not take responsibility for your actions or words until you were reminded by something you saw as an authority to stop and follow procedure. I was embarrassed for you after all those times you said – I”m not doing that…and then you did that. I’ve been there. I was an angry 18 year old, that one time.
It’s a tough society we live in and people like you make it tougher. I have young impressionable children that are further handicapped by platforms like that which banned you, and role models that act like you do. As far as I’m concerned that security staff was far too accommodating to you, as were the police. Muscles aren’t dangerous, mouths are. You took full advantage of security and police being afraid of going any where near you because, likely, you are a woman, and that makes men nervous in 2018 and counting. Your presentation, display; was too much cheap and tawdry; low-hanging, easy fare meant for excitement. You play on corrupt.
My wish for you and those like you – I can’t throw a rock without hitting 27 of you – is to assume some personal responsibility for your words and deeds and to support what you espouse. In fact, the only reason you had any sort of platform at all is because there are so many disenfranchised and angry people in America today. I would wager your hero is more than partly to blame; but it certainly didn’t start with him. Your job, as a journalist, that is what you call yourself, should be to get to truth and maybe do some good in your society instead of fanning the flames. Social media was right to ban you. You offer no solution to problems you bring to the table. You may be the anti-theses to solution.
Something else you said that really rubs me the wrong way – you kept saying freedom of speech. You should become acquainted with what that actually means. I was a soldier and I signed up for 2 reasons: the first was because I had no direction, and 2, to defend my constitution. I take seriously someone’s ability to live unmolested in a free society and to not be ‘tread’ on, especially with speech. You have every right to make a fool out of yourself with your words and deeds, but that foolhardy behavior may not always be protected. Like, when you’re trespassing. You need to understand – you went on to somebody’s private property and started acting the fool – they had every right to kick you out. That was not oppression in any way, love.
I feel like I have far more to write, especially about you, and I only just found out who you are (I am not the better for it). However, I feel like it would turn into a pompous diatribe about how personalities like you are counter-productive and how I kind of want to smack your parents upside the head for raising such a brat, for turning out such an uncouth mouthpiece into society. But, I know they wouldn’t care, you wouldn’t care, and your ‘followers” wouldn’t, either. I certainly don’t want to add to your ‘victim’ status, which you clearly cherish.
Her’s a tip – Shhhh… I mean, soldier on – or some such. It seems likely that you will soon be forgotten, and that is important, because you really are dangerous.
